Updating portable apps

Win Python is a free open-source portable distribution of the Python programming language for Windows 7/8/10 and scientific and educational usage.
If needed you can install the latest development release from the Win Pcap download page.
In order for the above to work you will need wget installed.
The only problem is that some apps names include version number in their download link so it might require some maintenance or automation to keep the script up to date.
The Portable Apps suite usually updates automatically, but if you haven’t used it in a while, you’ll want to know how to update it manually. To get to the option, open the Portable Apps platform the way you usually do – the Start icon from your flash drive or Dropbox folder, if you have it installed there.
Perhaps the major problem with portable apps is the process of updating them smoothly.
